Miller Motorsports Park goes International - The World Superbike Series arrives in the USA and Ducati Island is ready and waiting.
Miller Motorsports Park. It's big here. Everything about it is built on another scale. From the hundreds of giant flags that line the front gate to the 4.5 mile track surrounded by mountains, it's all designed to make you work to grasp the scale of it.
World Superbike is big too, so Ducati rolls out the full Ducati Island treatment. Owner hospitality and a packed schedule designed to fill the time around the races with activities to make Ducati owners smile
For us, these guys are the show. That's Nori Haga, SBK vetran and proven winner, new to the Ducati Corse lineup this year , he arrives at Miller leading the points
And Michel Fabrizio. At 24 this Roman born Italian is in his second season with the Ducati Xerox team and arrives at Miller with a sunny disposition, his first win under his belt and a title chase that is with in his grasp.
Michel may be smiling but at this level in the sport things are pretty serious. There's no margin for error, and it's all complicated by Miller's track altitude which is 4450 feet
Things you don't see every day: Custom Candy Apple Red Alfa Mitos twinkling in the sun....
A restaurant in a small Italian village (Bedizzole ) buying space on a SBK fairing
And this - AMA star Jake Zemke getting his own garage in the SBK lineup
That's Davide Tardozzi. He's the boss of Ducati Corse SBK but he's no stranger to "getting 'er done". A past SBK star himself, he's got 5 wins and a couple of pole positions of his own
Things get started on track on Friday.
