"What are you going to do if it rains?" seemed to be the only thing I heard all week. "Ducs like water!" was my general response, We're having a party, rain or shine. Friday morning dawned to overcast skies and a tornado watch, it really looked bad but never underestimate the passion of Ducatisti - darned if we didn't have a party anyway. That's the Casey Stoner Motogp Ducati. It was on display in the hospitality tent.
Roland Sands spent a lot of time on the Island. Here he is with Alex Dunstan of Ducati North America
That's Roland on the Hypermotard he built, playing around at the end of the day for a magazine photo shoot
For 2008 DDD hosted the first round of the Ducati Superbike Concorso. Superbikes started rolling in on Wednesday, all competing for a trip for two to the Ducati Factory being awarded on te spot in Friday to the overall round winner
Each bike gets photographed as it comes in, here the 998r of Steve Terbrueggen get's it's turn
These guys arrived in Daytona for the Superbike Concorso from Kansas City by riding a 1600 mile Iron Butt rally in weather that was as cold as 17 degrees. They jointly took home the Passion Award for obvious reasons.
