It's almost that time again, here's a look at last years DDD.....
DucatiDayDaytona, it's a Daytona tradition and in 2007 it became part of the biggest Daytona tradition of all, Daytona Speedway. Hosted by Ducati North America in Ducati Village at the Speedway Hospitality Village, Ducati.Net's DDD saw over 10,000 enthusiasts enjoy the perfect weather, and Ducati festivities. This Sport Classic really turned heads
Chip Carr's 900SS. One of the nicest we had seen and the judges agreed, it won the 2 valve belt drive class in the Concourso DucatiDayDaytona. Sounds good as well, it was second in the sound contest.
Ducati North America had a full line of bikes to sit on and staff on hand to answer questions
This year the featured model was the 916/996/998 and 999 in a tribute to the newest Superbike, the 1098 and it's designer coming from Italy to judge the class. They came out in droves to vie for the honor - This one belongs to Jeff Foster from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Cook Neilson won the superbike race on a Ducati here 30 years ago. This year Larry Pegram is going to give it his best shot to repeat that feat. Cook thought Larry could use a kiss for luck.
That's Gianni Fabbro, Senior Designer on the 1098 Design Team. It was his first visit to the US and he really enjoyed meeting all the Ducatisti here.
He chose Nelson Cambata's 999R as his personal favorite to win the Designers Choice show class and a beautiful Cycle Cat trophy was his to take home
